I think fake nails look gross. They look cheap and make girls look high maintainence and kinda ghetto.I was wondering if guys like it when girls have fake nails?

Fake nails, along with well applied make-up and nice clothes are noticed and generally as long as they're not over the top they are appreciated by us men because it shows that you are willing to make an effort. The more natural ones are best I think, for me at least. As long as they are not too long and not covered with silly logos or other such. Plain colours or even clear varnish looks best.
Oh yes. Many's the day I've kicked it with my posse at da club, when we'd say ';check out the manicure on that one.';
Most guys probably wouldnt notice the difference. I just dont like it when they are the really long ones. They just dont look natural. Kind of freakish looking. Maybe 1/2'; longer than your fingers is good.

Some guys like them... other don't. I keep mine very short, so most people assume they're natural anyway. Wearing acrylics helps me with my eczema (keeps the skin around my nails from cracking), so I've been wearing them for years. I've never met a guy who didn't like them... but, I think part of that is because I keep them short. I don't think it makes me high maintenence... it's the one thing I treat myself to every couple of weeks.

I wear fake nail .........but I only keep them on for a couple of months and then have them taken off for a month or two because my real nails get really thin when i get the acrylic on them and like getting them filled in and stuff like that......

Okay, I recently got acrylic nails from my local nail salon for the very first time. I'm very happy with them... But they're pretty long. They interfere with my typing a little bit. Should I try to file them or clip them or what? Thank you!Can you file fake nails?

Well i always get fake nails put on and they dont ruin mine nails i actually figured out that they make MY nails grow faster. The best way to take them off would be to either soke your nails in nailpolish remover or take a cotton ball and put nail polish remover on it and rub it on your nails.
If you use do it yourself glue ons, it can if you dont remove them properly. And the directions say to remove the shine from your nails before applying the glue, so you are damaging the surface.

Pink and white fake nails?
I have had them done several times, but they only way I can get them off is to stick one nail under the other and pull them off.
I thought that if I went and had THEM take them off, they had a better way of doing it, but they did the same exact thing!!

But, don't let anyone tell you to just go ahead and force them off. This is NOT the way to remove acrylic, or gel nails. Ever.
soak your hands with hot water to try to get he glue of then wait about maybe 10 minutes and... if you really want less paint try 30 minutes and then flick your finger each and one of them and or use nail polish to remove it instead of hot water or you may wanna mix both.. but may invovle some pain if you have an cuts on your finers or hands

You can buy pure acetone from a beauty supply store. it's not the same as finger nail polish though it smells the same. soak your nails in the solution (make sure the bowl is a strong material, because acetone can melt cheap or thin plastic). It will take a really long time for them to fall of on their own. i suggest soaking them until they get soft enough to pull off. but be careful not to damage your nail. if it doesnt come off easily then put your finer back in the bowl. and at the nail shop the technician puts the bowl of acetone into a bigger bowl filled with hot water to keep the acetone warm, that's helpful as well.I got those fake nails put on (french manicure?) and I don't like them, how can I get them off?

Soak your nails in pure acetone. It's available at beauty stores. It'll peel right off.
Walmart or other drug stores sell a solution to soak your nails in to help you gently remove them. It's about the same price as it is to go to the salon and have them removed.
