How can i remove fake salon nails without damaging my real ones?

i got my nails done for the first time for a special occasion. i have ';pink and whites'; and was just wondering the most effective and non-nail damaging way to take them off (my nails are pretty weak.) thanks! :)How can i remove fake salon nails without damaging my real ones?
Depends how long they've been on for. But try soaking your nails in nail polish remover the has acetone in it. Then carefully try lifting the fake nail up from your nail. After they're all removed give yourself an at-home manicure and don't forget the lotion! How can i remove fake salon nails without damaging my real ones?
It could be damaging to remove your nails yourself. Good article on this at http://pinknwhite.net/pnw_difference.html

soak in acetone, soak for a while then scrape off the gewy top layer, soak again, u pull them off straight and its gonna hurt not to mention that u could take your real nail off too, my sis did that OUCH.
soak ur hands in alcahol or nail polish remover they should dissolve and become weak and u can slide them right off
acid tone is the answer also to make it even much easier go back to the salon they can remove them and even clean up the mess and even the tops.
ur gonna damage them no matter what. they have already been damaged just from u wearing the nails. ur best and safest bet is to go to a salon and have them professionally removed, and then have a manicure to get ur nails all cleaned up and get the glue and crap off them. good luck.
It's always best to go to a salon and have them removed. You can seriously damage your nails if you try to do it yourself.
I don't think you can without ruining your nails. I had mine done a few months back and wanted them off. I tried the soaking in nail polish remover, you have to soak each finger for like 20 minutes and I still had to ';rip/peel'; them off. It really screwed up my nails for a few months after.

Will I have them done again? NEVER!
I think if you soak them in acidtone (not sure of the spelling) nail polish remover it will weaken the acrylic on the nails, and unfortunately your nails were ruined as soon as you got them done
put finger nail polish remover on your nails

hi hon,

well this can be a real poser if you have friable talons, ( but if you bite them, you might find my tips even more useful )...whatever you do, don't despair!

and please don't be tempted to repeat this fashion faux pas! but since you've only done it the once.......

i suggest that you stock up on your favourite analgesic ( ';ibuprofen extra strong'; recommended ) because the procedures might be a little distressing if you have a low pain threshold? ok?

all this stuff about soaking your hands in acetone is rubbish! look at what's happened to madonna....would you put that stuff on your face???

hon, in my long experience, there are only two remedies for this cosmetic calamity!

do you have a bf with a penknife??

preferably an authentic swiss army one ( hint: if he hasn't got one he's most likely gay ). well get hold of that tool, and open up the blade and screwdriver ( you don't have to be too careful now....hey, you want to break those nails, remember )! and using the blunt edge! try to lever them off.

it usually works! but be prepared to scream at some time....and you didn't forget the ibuprofen, did you??

if this doesn't work for you, or it's just too painful...for that really stubborn false nail removal problem... another tip:

( advice: this may require anaesthesia by a medically qualified bf ).

and only to contemplate in extremis: ie you bite your nails...urrrrrrh

well, most company's despatch departments offer the facility of a guillotine.
