How do u take off fake nails?

i got these fake nails the other day, and want to take them off. how do I w/o hurting my nails anymore??How do u take off fake nails?
If you have acrylic nails, get some acetone; not polish remover but 100% acetone. You can get the acetone from any beauty supply. Cut your nails at least as far as your natural nail. Put some acetone in a small bowl and soak the nail (one at a time) in the acetone for about a minute or so. You have to do one nail at a time because the acrylic begins to dry really fast. I can't remember what I used to scrape off the acrylic, but something metal (not sharp) like a metal fingernail file will work. It will take a little time, but it's the best way to do it without damaging your nails. When you get down to a really thin layer of acrylic, use a buffer to smooth your nails (if you get tired) and the rest will just grow off.


If you go back to the salon they aren't going to take the time to do it this way. They kind of pull them off, which will make your nails super thin.How do u take off fake nails?
It depends, if you got them professionally done they will be harder to take off, but if they are just glue on ones you buy from a drug store they will come off easier. The 'D.I.Y' way to do it is to get nail polish remover and put it in a bowl and soak your fingernails in them, they will either drop off into the bowl or you can simply flick them off easily, the nail polish remover wont hurt your skin as long as you wash it off after and maybe moisturize your hands as it makes the skin dry occassionally.





The other choice is you can go to a nail/beauty salon and they take them off for you for about $10-$30, anywhere between those prices.

soak them in warm water for awhile which is supposed to losen them up, which worked for my friend, but not for me (idk why)


but then take something sharp like a nail file with a point and wiggle it underneath your nail between your real nail and your fake nail then it will slowly pop off


but beware!!!





it hurts!!!!!!





but if you want a painless way you can probably go to a salon and they can take em off?

Welll if u bout the nails from the store then u take them off with hot water,but if u got them done from the salon then u ask to get them taken off from the salon....
soak your hands in hot water..or just take them to the place to get them off
