Damage caused by fake nails?

I want to wear fake nails just for the night of New Years. I was wondering how much damage will that do to my nails? I have never worn fake nails before and I do not plan on wearing them any more than just that one night. Will they create much damage if I have them on for possibly a day max?Damage caused by fake nails?
I would not worry about it. If you only have them on for 24 hours, you should be fine. You may have a little glue left over, but it will be a small amount. I actually just did this last week. if you get them done at a salon do NOT keep them on for just one night itll do a lot of damage..keep them on for about a week at most, then soak them in warm water and nail polish remover with acetone....or if they start cracking just take them off but its PAINFUL...and moisturize your nails with aloe and nail strengthening polish afterwards because itll be very thin....but yeah dont keep them on for just one night, thats about impossible..get them done the day before though, they hurt the day you get them a little.
This is coming from a Nail Tech ! You will have no damage if you go to the proper (professional) technician. Woman do this all the time. Perfect example : I have a client, a nurse (she can not have nails around patients) She was in today, for a full New Years Set of acrylics. On Saturday a.m. she will come for a soak off. I will let her soak her hands for 1/2 hr. (or more) %26amp; finish her off with a manicure w/extra lotion %26amp; massage. You can do all of the removal yourself, but you have to have patience %26amp; allow all foreign matter to dissolve off in stainless steel bowl filled w/ Polish Remover W/ACETONE.
it depends on what kind you get,


if you go to a salon,


your nails will be paper thin and will take one year to grow back to normal.


if you get the kind at the store,


it wont do much damage,
it won't do too much damage


Just don't get used to wearing them if you do like them because they will ruin your real nails after awhile (you will recover but it will take time)
get the stick on ones





they last like 5 days





but you can take them off any time you want
quite a bit honestly. taking them off will make your nails thin because you have to use acetone and it will damage a whole whole lot.
