Does it ruin your nails to get fake nails put on....?

The amount of damage done to your nails really depends on the nail tech applying the nails. If they use a drill to file your natural nail then yes, your nails will be ruined.

Remember the old saying - you get what you pay for. If you go to a budget salon and only pay $15 for a set of nails then chances are you will walk away with damaged nails.

The best way to remove artificial nails is to soak them in pure acetone.Does it ruin your nails to get fake nails put on....?
They eventually grow out and the nail is the same as it was prior to getting the fake nails. If your own nails are really thin the ';grow out'; is painful because there are nerves so near the nail surface.Does it ruin your nails to get fake nails put on....?
Well i always get fake nails put on and they dont ruin mine nails i actually figured out that they make MY nails grow faster. The best way to take them off would be to either soke your nails in nailpolish remover or take a cotton ball and put nail polish remover on it and rub it on your nails.
If you use do it yourself glue ons, it can if you dont remove them properly. And the directions say to remove the shine from your nails before applying the glue, so you are damaging the surface.

Acrylic nails, YES! I have done them several times and ended up regretting it each time. After the novelty has worn off or I couldnt afford to keep getting them filled my own nails were a disaster.
yes it does besides when you get them put on you have to be careful about who does it because bacteria from there nail files or whatever they use on you can cause infections under the nails best bet is to bring your own nail supplies so you don't lose a finger but the best bet is do them yourself you can buy gelatin caplets to give growth to your nails they actually do work that way you don't have to go to a nail salon
well i put fake nails on sometimes it dosent ruin them but you if your keep putting them on and dont let your finger nails breathe then it may. Also if you dont saok them saok in warm water but bit them off then you may ruin them.
Putting ON:

When you have fake nails, the real nails get no light and tend to get yellow.

Taking Off:

When you deside that you no longer want fake nails, you need to take them off not let the nails grow out.

1. they strip off the fake nail with a small circle sander that sands off the fake nail.

2. they sometimes go to deep (mine) and they break all the time till the real nail grows back. Growing a nail back from the bottom takes months 6 months for mine

3. Even if they do not sand to deep there is a surface irregularity to the nail. The nail below look wavy or bumpy and sorta yellow.

When I want to get fake nails, I think about the last time I had them removed. they were so ulgy
Yes, and they're hard to get rid of
Yes,arcylic nails makes your real nails thinner and they usually break off. Nail Polish remover ist he best way to remove the nails
only if you use them all the time. it's because the nails can't breath wel.
duh! OF course !
It ruined mine. But eventually it all grew out and they are fine.
Yes, it weakens them and makes them suseptable to fungus infections.
