For six months I tore my fingernails up applying false nails twice a week (they don't last very long.) They looked incredibly real, but it took a lot of effort. I finally got acrylic nails professionally done and so far they've been lasting. They didn't look entirely real when they did them, so I filed them down myself with a 4-sided nail block. Now they look like strong, healthy nails.
